Now the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, "This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you. Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying: 'On the tenth of this month every man shall take for himself a lamb, according to the house of his father, a lamb for a household."
Exodus 12
As the sun sets tonight so begins the tenth day of the first month. Jesus was Only days away from the cross. In the morning He would instruct His friends to go get for Him a Donkey and young colt. Jesus would enter Jerusalem and make His way to the Temple, His Father's house.
The Lamb is in the house, being examined for four days. The Lamb will be found perfect, without spot or blemish, an acceptable sacrifice. His shed blood will wash away my sin and make me white as snow.
